DJ SIMMONE BLACK
Simmone has a high profile within the Scottish DJ Scene and is well known for delivering a mixed bag of all things soul-fuelled. Her passion for black music has kept her true to her roots while her record collection caught the attention of fellow soulsters as well as music journo Yogi Haughton who encouraged her to play out. That was ten years ago and has since graced the decks of clubs such as Taste, Joy, Wiggle and Shebang. More recently she resides monthly at Bootylushous and Vice as well as making regular appearances at centraal, Beluga, Sygn, Cargo and The Opal Lounge. Comfortable in every setting, be it a bar or club environment, she can satisfy the most discerning of ears with a fusion of old skool to modern soul, disco, funk, RnB and Hip Hop. She can always up the tempo to fill the dance floor with her own style of soul drenched U.S. garage A.K.A quality house music.
